Thermeleon, Fotoniq, Voltiris and Skytree win the “Dragons Den” pitch for the “Greenhouse of the Future”

Exciting news! We’ve teamed up with FOTONIQVoltiris and Skytree to win the “Dragons Den” pitch for the “Greenhouse of the Future” contest by Greenport West-Holland. Our vision for the greenhouse of the future involves systemic integration of multiple innovations, creating a sustainable, future-ready space. By leveraging our strengths and developing plug-and-play solutions, we’re paving the way for optimal daylight, climate control, and smart CO₂ capture. Join us on this journey toward a more sustainable agricultural future!

Our pitch

The Dutch glass greenhouse is a global icon, with 80% of high-tech greenhouses worldwide originating from the Netherlands. To future-proof these greenhouses, a balanced approach to energy, daylight, CO₂, and temperature is essential. With innovative solutions from Voltiris, Thermeleon, FOTONIQ and Skytree, we are accelerating the development of the Greenhouse of the Future. This greenhouse will serve as a platform for testing plug & play technologies, resulting in a tailored handbook for various growing climates.

2027: Future-proof horticulture

To ensure greenhouse horticulture remains sustainable and profitable, we must increase efficiency as costs for CHP, energy, and CO₂ rise. By combining technologies, we can optimize yields through flexible controls and seamless tech integration. In a CHP-free greenhouse, Skytree captures CO₂ from the air, powered by Voltiris’ solar energy. FOTONIQ’s PAR+ coating diffuses daylight without loss, while Thermeleon’s Thermal Battery ensures the perfect temperature. This combination enables sustainable growth and maximum CO₂ retention. Our goal: the Greenhouse of the Future by 2027.
